The Opinel “N°08 1944-2024 Anniversary” knife celebrates 80 years since the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944, “the longest day.” This was the starting point for the liberation of France and Europe.
The handle is in varnished coloured hornbeam with a pad-printed decoration, The 8.5cm blade is stainless steel with a black PVD finish and is laser-decorated. The two versions
of the N°08 1944-2024 Anniversary Knife are limited editions of 1944 pieces, each one is numbered on the blade.
